Welcome to the Town of Malabar
Malabar Mini-Gallery by Skip Burdette

Skip has been hooked on amateur photography for the past 40 years (since he was 6). He still has his first camera, "Sure Shot Jr." (box camera), and has acquired over 70 different cameras from all over the world of all ages and types.

After sustaining an injury while working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in 2002, Skip went back to school to retrain in graphic design technology. He spends about 35% of his time doing photography/photo restoration, and the other 65% doing home remodeling and repair, and he takes care of his 77 year old mom, Doris, both living in Malabar.

Skip also has a display at the MRC Lagoon House on U.S.1 in north Palm Bay, including his international award winning “Gator in the Clouds” print. He urges everyone to visit the Lagoon House and see what these wonderful people are doing for the health and well being of the Indian River Lagoon, its inhabitants and much more! They are open Mon-Sat 9-5.

Skip's is a member of Malabar Mariner's Association, of which he is currently Dock Master, the National Wildlife Federation, the Florida Wildlife Federation, and several other environmentally friendly organizations.
